Sprouted Moong Dal Chilla Recipe 🥞

Ingredients:

• 1 cup sprouted moong dal (green gram)
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 1 small tomato, finely chopped
• 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (optional)
• 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
• 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
• 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
• 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
• Salt, to taste
• Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
• Water (to adjust consistency)
• Oil or ghee for cooking

Instructions:

1. Sprout the Moong Dal:
   If you don’t have sprouted moong dal, you can easily sprout them at home by soaking the moong dal in water overnight. Drain the water and leave it in a covered container for a day or two until the sprouts appear.

2. Make the Batter:
   In a blender, add the sprouted moong dal and a little water. Blend until it forms a smooth batter (similar to pancake batter consistency). You can adjust the water quantity based on how thick or thin you want the batter.

3. Prepare the Chilla Mixture:
   Pour the batter into a bowl. Add the chopped onion, tomato, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. Add chopped coriander leaves for added flavor and freshness.

4. Cook the Chilla:
   Heat a non-stick pan or tawa on medium heat. Brush a little oil or ghee on the surface. Pour a ladle of the batter onto the pan and spread it into a round shape. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until it turns golden brown. Flip the chilla and cook the other side for 2 minutes.

5. Serve:
